This is by far one of the best ramen places in the city. Every time that I've eaten here, I have never been disappointed in my selection of broth. The black pig is definitely a favorite, as well as the vegetable and porfilio. If you're going to try any appetizers, try the edamame that they drizzle with black garlic and the karaage fried chicken. It's a pretty small place, but they usually move pretty quickly, and it's always warm in there, perfect for winter days!

One of the best ramens I've had in Philly. I'm surprised I've never heard of it before! I came in with my friends when we realized that Hiro Ramen is cash only. So we had to step out and run out to the nearest bank lol! I would agree with that this spot is pretty casual and relaxed; the staff was friendly and attentive. As for the ramen itself, I got the Gates of Hell -- I found the broth to be rich and flavorful, and the spice added a nice touch to the experience. The softboiled egg was cooked very well. My one wish would be that the ramen came with more chashu!

Food: I read on Reddit somewhere that this was the best ramen in Philly and I would have to agree. I got the Hiro's Inch of Heaven and it awesome. The broth was well developed and I liked the choice of toppings. Though the chashu was thin, it had a nice char on it that gave it another layer of complexities. The egg was also nice and jammy. Hiro's Inch of Heaven: 5/5 Service: The service was quick and attentive. They're cash only. Ambience: The interior has that old school Japanese look. It's quite charming and you can see the chefs too!

Cash Only and BYOB. This place is very casual and relaxed. We came here on a Friday night and got a table for 4 immediately. The food comes out quickly and the staff is friendly. This is definitely a great spot to have a bite with friends and hang out for a bit. The food is priced very reasonably as well. When you bring your own alcohol, they provide glasses, which is nice. Inch of Heaven - A quality ramen with flavorful broth and plenty of veggies. The pork is cooked perfectly -- tender and slightly charred, delicious. Love the amount of bamboo shoots in here.
